Why ISEE started?

Short of being involved in actual disaster support operations, healthcare providers can train a number of disaster management competencies in a simulated scenario. In addition to acquiring knowledge, skills and attitudes in medical disaster management, the ISEE training tool allows the development of psychological abilities to face reality of the disaster scene, to rapidly assess the situation and to make decisions under stressful conditions.

"Best practice"

The ISEE project has been singled out as a ‘best practice’ project within the Leonardo da Vinci Programme 2000-2006 by the European Commission. In 2007 E-Semble commercialized the ISEE simulator. In 2015 E-Semble, ReGEDIM and Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel (University Hospital UZ Brussel) and Counterpoint improved and redeveloped the product. In the second quarter of 2015, ISEE Hospital Online was launched in a pilot project, participated by:
  • Reinier de Graaf Hospital (Delft, Netherlands)
  • Alrijne Hospital (Leiderdorp, Netherlands)
  • University Hospital Brussels (University Hospital UZ Brussel, Belgium)
After this successful pilot period ISEE Hospital Online was released in the third quarter of 2015.
